Hi, I'm Melissa. I'm a senior in high school and will be going to Biola University in the fall. Just don't ask what I want to do with my life after that because I'm not entirely sure. I'm not a huge fan of decisions but I am a fan of journalism, photography, softball, and my best friend Tawney. We were cute and made matching shirts when we went to Disneyland for my birthday. I love God and I'm so blessed to be a Sunday school teacher and work with 4 and 5 year olds every weekend. I've been going steady with a wonderful guy named Jacob since 8-5-13 and I think he's pretty great, to say the least. I'm in 4 AP classes so that tends to keep me busy but I love learning, especially through reading. Some of my favorite books include Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Out Stars by John Green, Columbine by Dave Cullen, White Noise by Don DeLillo, and The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. Alaska is the most beautiful place I have ever been, seeing the animals there was amazing.
To do well in government this semester, I plan to not procrastinate. My goal is to do all of the assignments, including all the reading, on time. Another way I can be successful is to watch the news on a regular basis and keep up with current events. Lastly, I can make sure to study not just before the test but constantly so that I will be more likely to retain the information for the AP test.
